Cat Mum
'Cat Mum' is a series I came up with after entering a greetings card competition by Ohh Deer, under the theme of Mother's day.
You con't see any cards out there for those that prefer the fur-baby variety, so I thought this was a unique twist! Alas, I didn't win or get contacted, but I loved how well the design turned out that I wanted to make more!
Line art drawn traditionally, then painted and back circle created on Photoshop.

Palindromes
A summer project at NUCA was to illustrate any ten palindromes we liked. Palindromes are sentences, or even paragraphs, that the letters reflect back like a mirror image! As you can see in the images below. The images are also mirror images as well! Enjoy working them out!
JERRY
JERRY was one of my second year projects at NUCA. It's a wordless cautionary tale of an ungrateful cat that thinks one day, bad things are starting to happen to him - like karma! A serious of horrible events for poor Jerry lead to his epiphany to be more grateful, even though everything that has happened around him have been accidents all along! Aimed at children and cat owners. I also started designing cards around the character of Jerry as part of my greeting cards project. 'Lady Into Fox'
I chose the early 20th Century short story 'Lady Into Fox' for my Extracts brief in the first half of my final year at NUCA. Much experimentation was done to try and get the right style that both me and my tutors agreed on, and I ended up going in a very abstract digital direction for this. I like how it came out, very simple with limited colours - very different from my usual style but I feel it was good to break out of the boundaries a little.
