In 2018, I started customising dolls. Working mainly with Monster High and Ever After High brand dolls, I work with watercolour pencils and acrylic paint for face ups, 100% acrylic yarn for hair or use the original doll's hair and I make most of my own clothes
(props not made by me in pictures below).
For those unfamiliar with the hobby, Doll Customising is when you take a doll of any kind really, and transform it completely - the amount of efforts vary from artist to artist - some will only do face ups, while others will strip the doll completely and work from scratch!
It can be quite addictive once I get going, though it is a big challenge! It can become quite expensive and time consuming but I definitely find it rewarding when the doll comes out well (and at least almost how I wanted it to).
To see work in processes, sneak peeks and some doll photography, take a peek at my art and doll Instagram account and keep an eye on my feed and stories!
